Oppo’s N1 Mini and Black Find 7a to hit Singapore shores soon

We won't have to wait too long to get our hands on these Android smartphones

Smartphone vendors are looking at one of two ways in appealing to the masses – either launch a mini or maxi version of their flagship smartphones, and Oppo is no different.

The Chinese vendor has unveiled the N1 Mini and a 4.7in Find 7 Mini just three days apart from each other, of which Singapore can anticipate the N1 Mini at local retailers in a matter of weeks. According to Oppo, you can expect it sometime between end July and early August.

The N1 Mini is a 5in, smaller version of its 5.9in N1 smartphone and although more information on its specifications will be released closer to the 10 June launch date, its product page disclosed some facts on what we can anticipate.

Besides its display size, we know that it will weigh a mere 150g, boast 4G LTE connectivity, as well as include a 13-megapixel Sony sensor with 6-element lens and an aperture of F2.0.

Pricing details have yet to be divulged, but we think the N1 Mini would most likely be well-armed for a price war with Asus’ Zenfone, if it doesn’t diverge too far from the $600-ish mark its other smartphone variants are priced at.

Find 7a is back, in black

Oppo will also be launching its Find 7a in black in the coming days, which will be making its debut at the PC Show 2014 in Singapore.

The news was announced on its Facebook page, which also provided information of a partnership between the vendor and telco M1.

The earlier version of the Find 7a was priced at S$599 in Singapore, but we might be expecting an exclusive partnership with this one, although we’ll have to wait till the PC Show to confirm.

In addition, the company will soon be disclosing tie-up pricing and freebie details on its Facebook page. Keep watching that space for up-to-the-minute updates.
