Dell's Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 available in Singapore from July

At S$699, this laptop and tablet hybrid might make you think twice about getting other Windows tablets

Dell's latest laptop and desktop additions to its Inspiron family is nothing short of an information overload but the one that caught our eye was the Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 device.

Unveiled at Computex 2014, the flexible 11in laptop, with its 360-degree rotatable hinge design, lets you use it in its laptop, easel, tent or tablet form. The thin and space saving design is a close match to Lenovo's Yoga 11S, which has similar flexibility that transforms the device into different modes.

The flexibility of a gymnast

Specs wise, the convertible laptop sports up to 500GB of storage capacity. Cloud storage is also provided in the form of a 20GB Dropbox upgrade, which is valid for a year from the purchase.

You can use all 10 fingers to fiddle with its 11in capacitive touch display or just enjoy movies on its 1366x768 screen, coupled with the Waves MaxxAudio audio enhancement.

While the specs aren't as amazing as top-of-the-line ultrabooks, its pricing will get your attention. At S$699, this tablet/laptop hybrid is definitely much cheaper than other devices in its class. Just note that it's running on an Intel Pentium (yes, Pentium, we kid you not) quad-core processor.

Getting one? Then you'll have to wait a few more weeks - it'll only be available from July.
