Asus PadFone Infinity goes to infinity and beyond

It's a smartphone. No wait, it's a tablet. Actually, the Asus PadFone Infinity is both, and it's rolling out to a store near you

Prepare to pay tribute to the latest heir to the PadFone throne, as it deserves all the fanfare it can get.

Aside from the bump up in processing power courtesy of the upgraded 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, the 5-inch PadFone Infinity is also getting its imaging act on with a spanking new Asus PixelMaster camera, said to make low-light shots clearer and steadier. The 13-megapixel camera offers fresh insight by intuitively adjusting the size of each image sensor pixel to get the best results in every type of setting.

If the resident storage on the PadFone Infinity is inadequate for your imaging needs, the new micro SD card slot will come in handy. While the PadFone Infinity doesn’t come bundled with the optional 10.1in PadFone Infinity Station, adding it on enhances the entire PadFone Infinity experience by allowing users to make a seamless switch from phone to tablet.

The PadFone Infinity and PadFone Infinity Station are clad in full HD displays with IPS technology, so your multimedia is presented in popping colours and precise lines with wide viewing angles to boot.

For now, only the Platinum White version is available at Challenger, Harvey Norman, Newstead, StarHub and M1 shops. Price starts from $898 for the 16GB and go up to $998 for the 32GB. As for the optional PadFone Infinity Station, it will retail for $328.

For those after the Titanium Black version, hang in there, it will be available by the end of the year.
