6) Dr Easy
Based on the novel The Red Men by Matthew De Abaitua, the film revolves around a medical robot that’s been sent in to help a cornered gunman and defuse the situation at the same time. Featured at the 2013 Edinburgh International Film Festival, we’ll hopefully see more of Dr. Easy as this is just the prologue for a planned feature.
Killer tech cameo in Dr. Easy
That non-judgemental super helpful medical robot. Facial expression - or lack thereof - is key when you're about to administer an injection to an armed gunman.
7) The Awareness
A janitor has the misfortune of being able to potentially change up his life when he finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He chances upon a self-aware computer system who has only one request - to be destroyed before she is let out into the world. Yay or nay?
More after the break...
Killer tech cameo in The Awareness
That computer system which takes on a deceptively innocent and rather old-fashioned appearance. You will not deceive us, plain script! We know it's you, Skynet.
Screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, Record/Play takes on the subject of time travel against the backdrop of a love story because nothing says anything better than die-hard romance. Want to see more? Focus Features will be adapting this short into a feature.

Thought the time has passed for Sony Walkmans and cassette tapes? Think again with this time-traveling edition. Because an iPod doesn't have the same screen presence (although it does have a screen present).
