That&#39;s something of an understatement, so the fact that&nbsp;its successor will definitely arrive with a different look will be welcomed by many.</p> <p><a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/04/16/us-samsung-elec-sales-idUSBREA3F09320140416" target="_blank">Speaking to Reuters</a>, Samsung&#39;s senior vice president of product strategy Yoon Han-Ki stated that the Note 4 would arrive with a &quot;new form factor&quot;. Quite what that will involve is open to speculation, but at the very least we&#39;d guess it will either mean a grippy, dimpled plastic back as seen on the <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-s5/samsung-galaxy-s5/review" target="_blank">Galaxy S5</a>, or a more premium metal build of the type we expect to see on the <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-s5/samsung-galaxy-s5-prime-2k-screen-its-way/news" target="_blank">Galaxy S5 Prime</a>.</p> <p>Either way, it&#39;ll hopefully signal the end of Samsung&#39;s brief dalliance with skeuomorphism.</p> <p>We&#39;d also expect the Note 4 to be fully dust- and water-proof. With seals over all of its sticky-in bits, the Galaxy S5 is waterproof to the IP67 standard, meaning it can survive a 1m dunking for up to 30 minutes. As long as Samsung can work out how to seal the slot where the Note 4&#39;s Stylus sits,&nbsp;there&#39;s really no reason why the tech wouldn&#39;t make its way to the bigger phone.</p> <p><strong>Update 21/07/14:</strong> According to <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/samsung-making-super-duper-prime-edition-galaxy-note-4/news">reports from the Far East</a>, a metal-bodied Note 4 may indeed be on the way &ndash; but it could be a &quot;Prime&quot; premium edition of the phablet, with the &quot;normal&quot; Note 4 remaining mostly plastic. ET News says the Prime will feature magnesium, aluminium and stainless steel.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-s5/samsung-galaxy-s5/review" target="_blank">Samsung Galaxy S5 review</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="The Galaxy S5&#039;s dimpled back..." alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Samsung_Galaxy_S5_review_70_0_2.jpg?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="...and the Note 3&#039;s fake-leather effect" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/DSCN3098_1_2.JPG?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-1"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> SCREEN - twice as nice? </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Here&#39;s where things get really interesting. There are already plenty of rumours doing the rounds about the Note 4&#39;s screen, and if they all come true we&#39;ll be looking at one very special display.</p> <p>Size-wise, we&#39;re expecting a modest jump from the Note 3&#39;s 5.7in to 5.8 or possibly 5.9in. Why? Well Samsung&#39;s upped the Note&#39;s screen size with each new version, from 5.3in on the original to 5.5in and then 5.7in. It&#39;s also done the same with its flagship &#39;S&#39; phones, from 4in to 4.3 to 4.8 to 5 and then to 5.1in on the S5. Leopards don&#39;t change their spots, so we&#39;d be amazed if the Note 4 didn&#39;t get a bigger display.</p> <p>More excitingly, it also looks like being Samsung&#39;s first 2K phone (assuming the <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-s5/samsung-galaxy-s5-prime-2k-screen-its-way/news" target="_blank">S5 Prime</a> doesn&#39;t arrive before it). At its Analyst Day conference last November, Samsung showed off a graph which indicated that it would launch a phone with a 2K screen - that&#39;s 2560 x 1440 pixels - sometime in 2014. With the S5 sticking with a 1080p display, the Note 4 looks a good bet for the upgrade. And with LG having now confirmed that the <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/g3/lg-g3/review" target="_blank">LG G3</a> will itself feature a 2K display, there&#39;ll be pressure on Samsung to follow suit on one of its flagship devices.</p> <p><strong>Update 17/06/14: </strong>More evidence for a 2K screen has emerged, courtesy of Samsung&#39;s own<a href="http://wap.samsungmobile.com/uaprof/SM-N910A.xml" target="_blank"> web profile</a> (spotted by <a href="http://www.sammobile.com/2014/06/15/samsung-galaxy-note-4-confirmed-to-have-5-7-inch-qhd-2560x1440-display/" target="_blank">Sam Mobile</a>) which lists a 2560 x 1400 screen for a device with an SM-N910A model number. Given that the&nbsp;Note 3 AT&amp;T variant is known as the SM-N900A, it&#39;s highly likely that this is the Note 4.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/g3/lg-g3/review" target="_blank">LG G3 preview</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="804" height="603" title="LG shows off its 2K G3 screen" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/lg-g3-screen_0.jpg?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="461" height="346" title="Looking good" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/note-4-code.jpg?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-2"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> SCREEN - 3 is the magic number? </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>The Note 4 could also arrive with - wait for it - a 3-sided display. Yes, really.</p> <p>Rumours have been rife that the handset could feature a flexible screen which curves round the side of the device. The side displays would be used to either provide information - ticker-style notifications, weather forecasts, &#39;song playing&#39; info etc - or to allow quick access to apps such as camera and instant messaging. The advantage would be that you could run a full app on the main display - a game or film, say - but easily see notifications without having to exit the app.</p> <p>Sounds incredible, but the tech all exists. Samsung showed off a flexible &#39;Youm&#39; screen at CES 2013, and has also demonstrated curved tech in the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/meet-samsung-galaxy-round-note-3-curved-screen/news" target="_blank">Samsung Galaxy Round</a>&nbsp;phone. A patent recently revealed by&nbsp;<a href="http://www.galaxyclub.nl/2014/04/samsung-patent-driezijdig-scherm-galaxy-note-4/" target="_blank">Galaxy Club</a>&nbsp;demonstrated just such a phone, and while there&#39;s no guarantee that it will become reality on the Note 4, we can always cross our fingers and hope.</p> <p>Plus, LG already has a premium device with a curved, flexible screen in the form of the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.stuff.tv/g-flex/lg-g-flex/review" target="_blank">LG G Flex</a>. Samsung generally doesn&#39;t like to play second fiddle to LG, and how better to trump it than with a 3-sided Note 4?</p> <p><strong>Update 21/07/14:</strong> The aforementioned Note 4 Prime may boast a flexible display, <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/samsung-making-super-duper-prime-edition-galaxy-note-4/news">says ET News</a> &ndash; the inference being that the normal Note 4 will stick with a flat, rigid screen.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE:&nbsp;<a href="http://www.stuff.tv/why-it-s-time-get-pumped-about-flexible-screens/feature" target="_blank">Why it&#39;s time to get pumped about flexible screens</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="625" height="505" title="Could the Note 4 have a 3-sided screen?" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/galaxy-note-4-patent_0.jpg?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1187" height="890" title="Samsung&#039;s Youm prototype has already shown off flexible screen tech" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/samsung-youm_0.jpg?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-3"> <div class="field-label">Image #3:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_3" width="1200" height="900" title="The LG G Flex and its curved display" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/LG-G-Flex-review-homescreen-2_2.png?1405958127" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-3"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> POWER - THE BEST YET? </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Right now, your guess is as good as ours. Well maybe not quite as good as ours, but close. What we&#39;re trying to say is that beyond reasoned speculation, we don&#39;t know what the Note 4&#39;s innards will consist of.</p> <p>A report in <a href="http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2014/04/133_155024.html" target="_blank">The Korea Times</a> hinted that Samsung was considering kitting out the Note 4 with a 64-bit processor of the kind found in the iPhone 5s, and also that it might feature speedy LTE-A tech. Beyond that, zilch.&nbsp;</p> <p>What we can say is that the Note 4 will be a beast of a phone. The Note series has traditionally been Samsung&#39;s most powerful device, and in an interview with&nbsp;<a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-01-09/samsung-plans-galaxy-s5-by-april-with-possible-eye-scan-security.html" target="_blank">Bloomberg</a>, Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of the company&rsquo;s mobile business, stated that the Note 4 would be &quot;targeting consumers who want more professional use and tend to be willing to pay more for handsets.&quot;</p> <p>We&#39;d expect either the Snapdragon 801 processor that you&#39;ll find in the Galaxy S5 or even the Snapdragon 805, 4GB of RAM (the Note 3 has 3GB) and hopefully a nice big battery. MicroSD storage is a given, to supplement the 16/32/64GB that we&#39;ll likely get within the device.</p> <p>In short, it&#39;ll be among the most powerful phones yet.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-s5/best-apps-samsung-galaxy-s5/feature" target="_blank">8 of the best apps for the Samsung Galaxy S5</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="The Note 3&#039;s a beast. But expect the Note 4 to be even better. The Galaxy S5 got a spec-bump to 16MP plus a clever software mode that enables it to refocus shots after you&#39;ve taken them. We&#39;d be very surprised if the Note 4 didn&#39;t get an upgrade to at least match the S5, but it&#39;s quite possible it&#39;ll surpass it.</p> <p>The <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-camera/samsung-galaxy-k-zoom-hands-review/feature" target="_blank">Galaxy K Zoom</a> - Samsung&#39;s new half-phone-half-zoom-lensed-camera - has a 20.7MP sensor, and it&#39;s not impossible that&#39;ll find its way into the Note 4. ETNews&#39; sources claim that Samsung&#39;s trying to shed millimetres from the Note 4&#39;s thickness, and in order to pack in OIS, it can only kit the phablet out with a 12MP sensor. Likewise, tracking your meals and counting calories with apps is also a tedious process&mdash;hence the microwave? That could soon be the case, according to the MIT Technology Review.</p> <p>General Electric (GE) is currently testing a device that uses low-energy microwaves to estimate the number of calories in your food, and it&rsquo;s possible that the technology could be embedded in future microwave ovens (not seen above; that&rsquo;s just a regular microwave). Right now, it only works with blended foods by analyzing the fat and water content, as well as weight. However, GE says it&rsquo;s working on ways to, say, read the info from an entire plate of food.</p> <p>Such info could theoretically be automatically synced with a device for easy tracking. Although the lighting&#39;s dodgy, it looks like the phone&#39;s back panel is made of the same dimpled soft-touch plastic as the standard Galaxy S5 &ndash; suggesting that this is an evolution, not a complete overhaul of the S5.</p> <p>The lack of a metal back panel is backed up by serial Twitter leaker <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/466969348675215360" target="_blank">@evleaks</a>, who claims that the S5 Prime will hit Korea in five colors: &quot;black, white, gold, blue, and sweet pink.&quot; While coloured anodised metal finishes are fairly common on smartphones &ndash; particularly aluminium &ndash; it&#39;s <a href="http://www.bluebuddhaboutique.com/blog/tag/white-anodized-aluminum/" target="_blank">impossible</a> to create a white anodised aluminium finish, because white paint molecules are larger than the pores created on the aluminium oxide layer during the anodising process. That strongly suggests &ndash; assuming @evleaks is correct &ndash; that the S5 Prime will indeed sport a plastic back. Which is interesting, considering that criticism of the S5&#39;s plastic build reportedly led to the <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/galaxy-s5/samsung-replaces-head-mobile-design/news" target="_blank">reassignment</a> of Samsung&#39;s head of mobile design. So if the exterior&#39;s only getting one or two tweaks, how will the S5 Prime differ from its predecessor?</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (photo © PhoneArena)" alt="Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (photo © PhoneArena)" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/samsung-galaxy-s5-prime-phonearena-03.jpg?1405385504" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (photo © PhoneArena)" alt="Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (photo © PhoneArena)" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/samsung-galaxy-s5-prime-phonearena-01.jpg?1405385504" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-3"> <div class="field-label">Image #3:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_3" width="1200" height="900" title="Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (photo © PhoneArena)" alt="Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (photo © PhoneArena)" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/samsung-galaxy-s5-prime-phonearena-02.jpg?1405385504" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-1"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> What&#039;s in a name? </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p><strong>Update 04/06/2013:</strong> According to <a href="http://evleaks.at/2014/06/03/another-alleged-image-supposed-samsung-galaxy-f/">@evleaks</a>, the Galaxy S5 Prime will actually be named the Galaxy F, with F standing for &quot;fashion&quot;. Although sadly, it looks like they used a potato instead of, you know, an actual camera.</p> <p>This is a terrible image even by blurry leak standards, but we&#39;ve done our best to clean it up. We&#39;ve also placed a picture of an actual Galaxy S5 next to it for comparison.</p> <p>While they look almost identical, the alleged Prime does appear to have slightly rounder corners and a more pronounced arch at the top. Its side bezels might also be a little smaller, though the grainy quality of the shot makes it hard to say for sure.</p> <p>The anonymous tipster also believes that the S5 Prime will arrive with a 5.3-inch, 2560 x 1440 QHD display, along with a Snapdragon 805 processor.</p> <p>Interestingly, the tipster states that the Galaxy S5 Prime will be a replacement for the Galaxy S product line, indicating that there will be no Galaxy S6. According to the PhoneArena source that leaked snaps of the phone, the Galaxy S5 Prime will pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM, and will run Android 4.4.3 KitKat on launch (unsurprisingly skinned with the latest version of Samsung&#39;s TouchWiz UI). <a href="http://gfxbench.com/device.jsp?benchmark=gfx30&amp;os=Android&amp;api=gl&amp;D=Samsung+SM-G906S&amp;testgroup=overall" target="_blank">GFXBench</a> tests back up those specs, adding 32GB of storage, a 16MP camera and a 2MP front camera to the mix, but have the phone running Android 4.4.2 at launch.</p> <p>However, back in January, KGI analyst <a href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/01/26/samsungs-galaxy-s5-to-sport-fingerprint-sensor-32-bit-soc" target="_blank">Ming-Chi Kuo</a> predicted that the Galaxy S5 Prime would pack a 5.2in, 565-ppi AMOLED display, 32-bit Exynos 5430 processor and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM along with a 16MP camera. Kuo also expects both versions of the S5 to sport a plastic shell, in contrast to recent predictions that Samsung will adopt a metal build for the high-end S5. It&#39;s possible that these high-speed download speeds may only apply in Korea, on its LTE-Advanced network. Google gave a lengthy demonstration of all that the watches are able to do. Essentially, Android Wear devices are designed to show you the information you need at the moments you need it, delivering contextual cards with notifications from apps on a paired device running Android 4.3 or higher.</p> <p>The watch screen stays on at all times in a black and white mode, and then to full color when lifted or tapped. You can just speak commands into the phone (starting with &ldquo;OK Google&rdquo;) to search, pull up apps, answer text messages, and more. Swiping up and down scrolls you through the cards, and you can go left and right as needed when an app allows multiple displays.</p> <p>Android Wear devices also have fitness functionality, as expected, with apps able to use a built-in sensor to read your heart rate, plus they&rsquo;ll log your steps throughout the day. When an Android Wear watch is synced to a device, it&rsquo;ll automatically install the Wear portion of any downloaded apps and keep them up to date.</p> <p>All told, the UI seems strongly focused on simplicity and being a good companion to your phone, rather than try to duplicate all functionality.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="799" title="Samsung Gear Live" alt="Samsung Gear Live" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/samsung-gearlive.jpg?1403747129" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-1"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>The full Android Wear SDK is available today for third-party app makers, and the keynote offered a look at some of the possibilities. They&#39;ll also land in both LTE and Wi-Fi-only models, with the former model allowing you to make phone calls with it, if you really want to.</p> <p>An 8MP camera graces the rear, while a 2.1MP camera on the front should take care of selfies.&nbsp;</p> <p>On the software side, the Galaxy Tab S is running Samsung&#39;s TouchWiz UI, skinned over Android KitKat 4.4. Some useful software tweaks are thrown in too, including multi-view which lets you interact with two apps simultaneously over a split screen view.</p> <p>SideSync 3.0 also lets you play games installed on your compatible Galaxy smartphone on the larger tablet screen. It&#39;ll allow you to answer calls on your tablet, even if your phone&#39;s in another room. Sadly, this feature is limited to Galaxy devices only.</p> <p>The 8.4in Tab S packs in a 4900mAh battery, while the larger 10.5in has a 7900mAh one to keep it chugging along, and both tablets also feature a fingerprint-scanning home button with PayPal and multi-user support - a first for a Samsung tablet.</p> <p>There&#39;s no word on UK pricing for either model, but the 10.5in and 8.4in Galaxy Tab S models will be on sale in the US for US$400 and and US$500. The Wi-Fi version will go on sale in July, with the LTE model set to hit shelves shortly after.</p> <p><strong>Update 26/06/14:&nbsp;</strong>Samsung has officially revealed that the 10.5in and 8.4in Galaxy Tab S models will be available from 4 July for &pound;400 and &pound;320 respectively, matching the exact price of the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display.</p> <p>Pricing and and a release date for the LTE versions have yet to be revealed.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/tablets/top-ten" target="_blank">These are the top 10 best tablets in the world</a></strong></p> <p><iframe frameborder="0" height="180" src="http://pages.haymarket.com/stuff_signup/enews_embed" width="300"></iframe></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Back shot" alt="Samsung Galaxy Tab S arrives with a screen that&#039;s exploding with colour" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Galaxy-Tab-S-Bluetooth-Keyboard_3.jpg?1404445452" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> <p><a href="http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/samsung-galaxy-tab-s-arrives-screen-thats-exploding-colour/news" target="_blank">read more</a></p> http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/samsung-galaxy-tab-s-arrives-screen-thats-exploding-colour/news#comments Android Samsung Tablets Wed, 25 Jun 2014 13:32:43 +0000 Esat Dedezade 1438993 at http://www.stuff.tv Samsung unveils new batch of curved and flat 4K TVs http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/samsung-unveils-new-batch-curved-and-flat-4k-tvs/news <div class="field field-type-text field-field-standfirst"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Oh, and there’s a new 85in model for those who happen to live in an aircraft hangar </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-main-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Samsung&#039;s new HU7250 curved-screen 4K TV" alt="Samsung&#039;s new HU7250 curved-screen 4K TV" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/images/news/samsung-hu7250-4k-tv.jpg?1403755986" /> </div> </div> </div> <p>Samsung has pulled the dust sheets off two brand new series of 4K televisions &ndash; one curved, one flat &ndash; as well as introducing a colossal 85in model to its existing HU8550 Ultra HD range.</p> <p>The flat-screened HU8550 range (which, like all the models we&rsquo;re talking about here, is available in the US but not the UK) already includes 50in, 55in, 60in, 65in and 75in models, and the new 85in model will slot in at the top of the range.
