Spotify on the iPad offers everything you'd expect from the premier music streaming service – for Premium subscribers – with bonus points awarded for offline listening, synced playlists and including the desktop's social features.
Also available as an Android app, you can trial Premium for free for 48 hours if you log in with your Facebook details if you've been coasting along nicely on the ad-supported, limited free desktop version.
Don't be fooled by the talk of 'free' on iOS though – that's only radio and it's only available in the US right now. Spotify has a bit of a battle on its hands before securing the same kinds of deal for mobile music streaming in Europe. But the service's offerings on iOS and Android have seen off all its competition so capably that we doubt there's any worried faces in the Spotify camp.
