The ultra-addictive New Star Soccer puts you in the boots of an up-and-coming footballer. It's a flick-kick action game meets an RPG style mission to get from a non-league loser to a top division player and is easily one of the best football smartphone games available for iPhone and Android.
We know it says it's free but the Career Mode will cost you just 69p so it's well worth the money (it's 62p outright on Android) plus more in-app purchases are available like the Pitch & Weather pack or bunches, bundles and stacks of "star bux" if you get sucked into the New Star Soccer world (hint: you will). A must-download for any football fan.
UPDATE: The latest update adds corner kicks and the ability to buy your own racehorses. How very Fergie.
