Stuff says 5 Hot Buy

A gorgeous player with controls that can compete with the Nano’s but at a price tag that can’t.

Swiss watches would give their rotating bezels to be as solid and jewel-like as this tiny media player. There’s also something about the way the pivoting screen clicks when you press your way through the menus. And it has a clock.

Sensibly minimalist controls, a super-sharp LCD, FM radio and great sound quality all culminate to make this a winner. With a stonkingly generous 34-hour battery life and a substantial 2GB capacity, this is worth every penny.

Using such an excellent MP3 player that’s not an iPod will also give you a nice warm glow, to boot.

While the U10 can boast a plethora of features and a clever navigation system, I found it rather disappointing. Firstly there is the small capacity - 2gb is tiny, especially if you want to hold music, videos, pcitures and recordings. The menu system a good idea however, the response on screen can lag slightly. The screen attracts fingerprints very easily, much like the PSPs. The sound qualityof the player is also rather poor compared to creative or even apple. Overall if you can bear the small capacity and over-stuffed features, the U10 can be a rewarding player.
