The HP Pavilion dv8025 is a chunky laptop that packs major grunt, including a blisteringly fast 2.2GHz processor and 2GB of nippy RAM.

The engine at the heart is a AMD Turion 64 processor and 80GB HD running alongisde a low-end ATI Xpress 200M graphics chip.

Powerful and pacy, the dv8000 suffers a lack of finesse – caused by the under par graphics chip – which cripples an otherwise solid machine and prevents you fully appreciating that sublime 17in screen.
