EZ-AV EMP500 Review

Stylish and striking, the EMP500 goes louder than most players through the bundled ’phones. But looks and volume aren’t everything. Sure, they hold a gadgeteer’s hit list, but when form and function collide rather than flow together, it’s time for a rethink.

The EMP500 is a weak performer. Sound is second rate and the AA batteries are a pain to keep changing. In theory, the STN display can show video clips. In practice, we weren’t blown away. Avert your eyes and keep walking.
