It may be about the size of a Sopranos-style body bag, but the Dakine High Roller has a much less morbid job – to carry your snowsports kit, and lots of it.
The bag is a massive 1.8m long, with around 130 litres capacity divided between one huge central hold and three externally accessed pockets.
Multi-board quiver
Suppose you want to take three boards – your favourite big powder board, another for rippin’ it in the park and a third go-anywhere ride in case the other two snap – this bag can haul it all.
The bottom has a padded board sleeve that will take spare decks minus bindings, while a full set up can go inside the main hold.
Outside access
There are three zipped compartments on the outside of the bag: two at either end with enough capacity for a boot each plus clothing, and a smaller pocket that will easily swallow goggles, gloves and more.
Although these three pockets are adequate, it’s a shame they aren’t a little bigger as there's plenty of space. Likewise a few smaller pockets wouldn't go amiss.
On the pull
The wheels are large and sturdy enough to carry a heavy load, and can deal with the abuse dished out by an over-excited snowboarder eager to get to the slopes. So if you’ve got a long trip planned and have a wardrobe full of it, this is the board bag for you.
