This fun player is extremely accommodating, indulging your penchant for music, films, TV, radio and photography with its 30GB hard drive and high-res colour screen. It’ll even sync with your entire Outlook contents.
TV, music and film in your hand
What’s not to like? Creative’s MediaSource software is commendable, while the Zen’s screen offers a pin-sharp foundation for pics and video footage, despite a horizontal viewing angle issue.
The FM radio auto-tunes in super-quick time and sounds great – as does music playback. Unfortunately it does scratch rather easily, though, so best kit it out with a little bodywarmer to extend its delicate little life.
An Apple a day won’t keep the Vision:M away – Creative’s latest jukebox is, without a doubt, its greatest.

Review Update - 1 month with the Vision M 60GB Summary - It's not bad, quite liking it. Lack of MPEG4 video support really lets it down. Pro's 1/ Sound Quality is fantastic, at 192kbps on WMA the sound is really impressive. 2/ Despite being a bit of a brick, it is quite comfortable to hold when watching videos. 3/ Pretty quick navigating round menu's 4/ Comes with Podcast download software 5/ Supports Napster to Go (Download unlimited music for a fixed monthly fee) Con's 1/ Creative Sync software is useless use Windows Media Player 11 instead, it's much much better. (All Creative software is a bit poo to be honest and syncs tend to fail regulary using their software). 2/ Even Windows Media Player 11 needs a bit of full-resynching to get Album Art for new albums on the device. It is great when it works but needs to much hand holding to get right. 3/SCREEN IS SOOOOO DELICATE 4/ Doesn't support MP4 or MPV video formats which are standard for IPOD's and PSP. This means nearly all video content available on the web has to be converted to WMV to playback on the Zen. This takes bloody ages (20min + per episode) and can crash out half way through a conversion. 5/ Looks are a bit dull, definitely function over form.

I've just recieved a Vision M 60Gb. I bought it because I was put off by Itunes and the fact my whole music library is in WMA. Unfortunately I had to buy the IPOD Video 30GB for my girlfriend so I have had to install Itunes and duplicate and convert my entire library anyway. I have only had it a few days so this opinion is first impressions. 1. The IPOD device is superior, the wheel is better than the Creative, its much better looking and considerably thinner. My Creative is nearly an inch thick. I'll be honest I am gutted at how big and ugly the Creative. 2. The Creative software is much simpler to use than Itunes. For example you open up Creative Sync Manager, tell it where your Music, Pictures and Video is located and that is it, done, it syncs them. No conversion, no seperate library import. Itunes doen't import the track numbers, album details and album art and insists you create a Itunes account with a credit card otherwise you can't import your music with track labels etc, nasty. Summary ----------- IPOD is much much better to look at and use. Creative Zen Vision M is much better at syncing music, video and pictures. Make your choice.

I've had one for a few months now and I love it. The only downside is the screen scratches easily so get a wallet or a protector. The screen is very watchable although you can only get a good picture if its in front of you. Another slight nag is the 4:3 screen. Download sites like BT tend to provide widescreen versions, even for PMP. So the 2 and bit inch screen is even smaller. If you can be bothered, ripping back catalogues of TV series like Angel (real sad I know) look pretty good, even with the dark. The MP3/WMV side is great, great browser, great sound. The software supplied for loading and converting is pretty good but the album art seems to be a bit hit and miss. I use musicmatch which is the best for organising music and although it interfaces well with the Vision:M, its not foolproof and not quick. You can also hide folders on it in case there are certain.. ahem... videos you dont want the kids to find. Great player but just given mine to the wife as I've ordered the Archos 604 WIFI.
