The Asus A6Vc is a mid-priced, classy but hefty machine packed with multimedia features and plenty of power. It has a 15.4in widescreen LCD display, powerful graphics card, built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam and DVD playback software.

This is a 60GB HD machine that fulfils all your home entertainment needs. It comes with a 1.73 GHz Intel Pentium M processor that is just about adequate but quality gaming is still possible, while some great CD and DVD playback features make this the ultimate entertainment system.

I'm currently on a Asus A6km. The same chasis but differnt specs: turion 1.7, 1 gb ram, geforce go7300. apart from that its the same.

pro's: powerful and semi portable, well built and nice to use.

cons: worryingly hot sometimes and irratiting asus software

all in all: I love it, I paid 700 quidfor it  from mesh in sept of 06. The web cam is great and the microphone pics up sound very well during gaming and making skype calls etc. Some ports are placed in annoying places but nothing that makes this laptop unusable. The 4 usbs are very handy and the card readers also can be helpful.
