Pentax has pulled the covers off a trio of new cameras, two of which give a strong nod to the cameras of yesteryear.

Headlining the range is the Optio I-10, an SLR-shaped compact reminiscent of the Pentax Auto 110 but packing all the latest tech under the hood.

Expect a 12.1 CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom, triple anti-shake protection, 720p HD video recording and sensitivity up to ISO 6400 for low light situations.

On the back there's a 2.7-inch widescreen display for viewing your snaps back on, and it'll be compatible with Eye-Fi wireless SD cards too for beaming your snaps directly to your computer without the need to hook it up via USB.

Spec-wise it's almost identical to the I-10, packing 12.1 megapixels, 5x optical zoom, 720p HD video recording, 2.7-inch screen and Eye-Fi compatibility, but has a much more pocket-friendly size and shape.

Last up is the entry level E90, with 10 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 2.7-inch screen and easy-to-use auto modes, it runs from AA batteries to keep things simple for first-time digital snappers.
