They may look like a motley crew of a mobile, PDA and a portable keyboard, but together the new E-Series are a crack mobile e-mailing team.

Available in the first quarter of 2006,  all three are Series 60 jobs and will support mobile e-mail solutions like Blackberry Connect and Visto Mobile using GSM and 3G networks. They're business-centric too, having been apparently designed to help your IT department manage security settings.

Top left is the E60, perhaps the least interesting of the three, which has a classic Nokia candybar design and features push-to-talk along with voice-over IP calls over WLAN. It also has a lovely 352x416 pixel display.

Then to the right there's the PDA-style E61, branded as 'built for mobile e-mail', which supports all the major mobile e-mail clients, can handle attachments including PDFs, and has a 240x320 pixel display. There's also Bluetooth, USB and Wi-fi connectivity.

Finally, at the bottom is the rather intriguing 'all-in-one messaging' E70 which looks like the old 6820, but has a wealth of Blackberry-bothering features. Along with the full QWERTY keyboard, these include push e-mail, a healthy 75MB internal memory, a hot-swapping miniSD slot and a 2megapixel camera.
