The interweb rumour mill has served up an unlikely twist in the world of mobile gaming, with the news that Microsoft is planning to release Xbox Live games on both Apple's iOS and Google's Android platforms.
A Microsoft spokesperson told Forbes that the tech giant is working to extend some of its Xbox experiences and titles to 'other platforms', which, given that they're already available on Windows Phone 7, can only mean iOS and Android.
This won't be the first time that Microsoft has ported an Xbox Live game to iOS. Back in December we reported on Kinectimals coming to the iPhone and iPad. That was something of a surprise, but it looks like Microsoft has a lot more where that came from – so watch this space.
