Xbox 360 DRM loosened

Until now, Xbox 360 lovers who’d switched consoles due to the dreaded flashing red lights or a desperate need for the Elite, have had to put up

Today though, the Big M is offering an official solution to transferring all your movies, mini–games and the like from your old hub to your new one.

Dubbed the Content Licence Transfer Tool (exciting, huh?), the new service can be downloaded from the official Xbox site. It means you can essentially redownload all your stuff once you’ve got your console set up.

So, another nail in the coffin of DRM? Or just a slice of common sense solving a problem that should have been fixed three years ago? You tell us.

Still, this’ll be great for those opting for that new 60GB Xbox that’s rumoured to be dropping next month.
