A post on the Windows Mobile team blog, spied by those keen eyes at Electricpig, broke the news that we'll be able to get all the dirt on its latest addition to the WinMo family on 11 May, at the Microsoft Tech-Ed event.
Big boss Stephanie Ferguson will be introducing the new OS in its final form, giving the lowdown on what it has to offer as well as a so say "cool demo" as well. Wowsers.
After a lot of niggles with previous versions, a lot is expected from 6.5, and Microsoft is no doubt hoping to pry away some iPhone and Android customers with a new interface and the promise of better browsing thanks to an IE mobile overhaul.
Of course that all remains to be seen once Winmo 6.5 devices launch, which we're told won't be until late Summer at the earliest.
We'll bring you all the news on 11 May but until then, check out our first impressions of the new mobile OS when we got to grips with it at MWC.
