Spotify launches in the US

Us Brits have been enjoying streamed music from Spotify for a few years now, while our green-eyed friends across the pond looked forlornly on. All that changes now, though – Spotify has made the Atlantic trip and has set up its flag on US soil.

American music fans can now share our love of music streaming – unless Spotify’s too late with this. The advent of Google Music, iCloud, Amazon Cloud Player and rumoured Facebook Vibes could pour cold water on Spotify’s US launch. Time will, as usual, tell all.
