Kickstarter breaks US$1 million mark twice in one day

Kickstarter, the crowd funded project site, has never broken the US$1 million mark on a single project – today it’s done it on two. And one of the projects was the adventure game production project from Double Fine, which we reported on yesterday. The other was Elevation Dock, a streamlined aluminum metal dock for iPhones and iPods.

The Double Fine project now has 33,408 backers and a total of US$1,238,162 at time of writing this. They only wanted US$500,000. We’re very excited to see the game that they produce – it had better look good, with twice as much money in the pot as the developers were hoping for.
