Ditch the wheel

Admittedly, it’ll only shave seconds off any given task, but what if those seconds affected everything you ever did on your computer? Rip out the spinning hard drive and replace it with a solid-state drive (SSD) to speed up your PC or Mac. It’ll also extend battery life and is less likely to malfunction. Samsung’s SSDs (£560 for 512GB, play.com) come with a kit for easy upgrading.

Voice dictation in the comfort of my own home is most definitely faster the typing on my phone!

Trust me on the unity remote. It WON'T save you time. It's a buggy monster. Crashes regularly, disconnects from blue tooth regularly which involves turning off Bluetooth on iOS then restarting the base unit. Many commands don't work properly. It's the worst bit of kit I've ever owned.
