Virgin Media outs Spotify app

In-client app for desktop Spotify features album reviews and playlists from Virgin’s editorial staff

Following in the footsteps of Pitchfork, Last.fm and We Are Hunted, Virgin Media is the latest company to serve up an in-client app for Spotify.

Apparently seeking to dip its finger in the “we know a lot about music” pie, the company’s new app delivers album reviews, as well as playlists based on a theme or event – for example there’s currently a V Festival playlist featuring some of the artists performing at this weekend’s event.

You can download the app by opening up the Spotify desktop client, clicking on “App Finder” in the left sidebar and selecting Virgin Media from the list.
