UK gets world’s fastest broadband from Virgin

Richard Branson loves pushing limits and has done it again with his 1.5Gb internet connection

Virgin Media already has the country’s fastest internet connection with its ultra-fast 100Mb line. Now it’s gone and created a 1.5Gb line that’s being tested in London right now. That’s 240 times quicker than the national average and the fastest connection in the world. It uses something called DOCSIS 3.0 which, apparently, is so future-proof it’s capable of near infinite capacity. With Virgin’s 100Mb service already reaching quarter of the country, we hope to see this super-speed line reaching some of us soon.
