Something for the weekend – movies and games to brighten your summer

So, the weekend is upon us. And in true British fashion, it’s going to hammer it down until Monday. Alas, we’re not pessimistic here at Stuff.tv, and will quite happily pass our rainy summer days indulging our passion for movies and games.

So here are our picks for staying in this weekend, courtesy of our pals at The Leisure Lab.

Movie – Cloverfield
JJ Abrams Godzilla–alike thriller set in New York. The footage follows a group of upwardly mobile twenty-somethings, as they shout, scream and generally leg it as fast as possible away from a giant, lizardly alien creature. Pointless, yet brilliant.

Game – Ninja Gaiden II
One of the year’s best game’s so far, this hack–and–slash combat feast should keep you distracted from those increasingly impossible GTA IV missions that have been dogging you all week.
