Gadget of the Day – Marantz CD5003

Say Marantz, and most gadget fans will develop a thin veil of sweat just thinking about how much their awesome hi–fi kit costs. But not this spanking new CD5003 player.

It only comes in at £200, but packs in all the tech goodness we’ve come to expect from Marantz. As well as swanky in–built amplifier modules, you also get the chance to pay MP3 and WMA CDs, with all the track info showing up on the screen.

Apparently, the developments under the hood give ‘cleaner, more open sound.’ Either way, we reckon this is the kind of bargain that you can’t ignore. If you’re feeling the credit crunch pinch, then this is the CD player for you.
