ITV Player comes to Freesat

27 Jul 2011

If you’re anything like us you’re gadget-obsessed and loathe trouser shopping. You also find the idea of turning on the TV at a prescribed time to watch your favourite programmes a chore in an age of catch up services such as BBC’s iPlayer, ITV Player and 4oD.

That’s why this morning we’re hanging bunting from our satellite dishes. Freesat has added ITV Player to its existing multi-channel line-up that already includes iPlayer. Update your Freesat box and you’ll have ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and – wait for it – ITV4 programmes at your beck and call on channel 903.

You’ll need a Humax Freesat HD or Freesat+ box and a minimum 2Mbps broadband connection to get the newly-added catch up channels. Oh, and a dish obviously, preferably not one covered in bunting. Freesat says 4oD and Demand 5 are “coming soon”. We’re ordering the party poppers now.
