Meet the new TomToms – a feisty trio made up of the Go 930T, 730 and 530 which all get a MENSA-scoring dollop of 'IQ Routes'.
The nifty tech will pick routes based on actual average speeds rather than over-optimistic speed limits. That should mean it'll avoid usually congested roads and put an end to that old sat-nav trick of sending you down a derestricted back lane just to shave 100m off your route.
In too goes Advanced Lane Guidance for steering you into the correct lane at junctions.
The 4GB 930 and 2GB 730 come with roomy 4.3in screens, Bluetooth, FM transmitters, TomTom Map Share and optional live traffic info on the 'T' versions. The 1GB 530 has much the same spec list but loses the FM transmitter and live traffic option.
They'll be making it here next month – assuming there are no hold-ups along the way.
