Pioneer lifted the lid on the CDJ-2000 last night, its rather lovely new CD DJ deck, and we were there at the unveiling to get hands-on with the new k

The CDJ-2000 is the first in a new line of DJ devices from Pioneer, and is a fully-featured CD turntable that wants to move DJs away from laptops and back to decks.

A multimedia hero, the CDJ-2000 can take on USB sticks, external hard drives and SD cards so you can load up songs sans-CD, and also save mixes automatically as well.

It also boasts a 6.1-inch screen that will show up any information from album art to waveforms, and a touch-sensitive pad to help you skip to points you want to be at in songs.
