Google warns against "wow" factor from Motorola phones
Office Cat is no marketing expert, but he's pretty sure that you're not meant to sell your own products short. Still, that's exactly what Google CFO and senior vice president Patrick Pichette has said of the Motorola phones that Google has inherited following its purchase of the company. "Motorola has a great set of products, but they're not really like 'wow' by Google standards," he said, speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference. "Dennis Woodside and his team have inherited 18 months of pipeline that we have to drain right now." So, think twice before you pick up a Motorola phone for the next year or so.

HP unveils ENVY120 e-All-in-One printer
Office Cat finds it hard to get excited by printers, but he was impressed at the press release for the HP ENVY120 e-All-in-One, which describes the printer in terms bordering on the rapturous. Not only does its "sleek design" have "little impact on the feng shui of your home," it features a touchscreen display that "intuitively extends and retracts." As opposed to one that does so unintuitively. It also features HP's TouchSmart Apps, AirPrint for printing from iOS devices and produces lab-quality prints, apparently.
Office Cat wholeheartedly approves of the HTML5 vulnerability that enables this website to fill your entire hard drive with cats. Fortunately, the site's creator has created the site simply to flag up the vulnerability, and has put in an option to give you your hard disk space back if you ask it to stop. Thank heavens no-one with nefarious motives found the vulnerability first. Like dogs.
Hotels.com goes S Pen
Hot on the heels of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 launch at MWC, hotels.com has launched a new version of its app designed to work with the S Pen stylus. This incarnation of the affordable hotel finding app lets you hover over hotels with the S Pen for quick details, or mark out sections of the map for areas you want to search. But more importantly, it creates a constantly moving toy for Office Cat to attack.
