Stuff Office Cat's Diary – 27/02/13
Alcatel One Touch Snap
Alcatel has taken the wraps off its new 4.5in One Touch Snap at MWC 2013 – the Android 4.2 phone comes packing a 1.2GHz processor, qHD screen, 1GB RAM, 8MP camera, a 1800mAh battery and a rather stingy 4GB of internal memory. The One Touch Snap will also come in an LTE variant for those data-hungry 4G fans among you. It features a slightly larger 4.65in screen and a 2200mAh battery – and although its screen is lower-resolution at 480x854 pixels, it can shoot 720p video. Which its non-LTE cousin can't. Office Cat is beginning to wonder if Alcatel is just picking specs at random out of a barrel.

4G's expansion across the UK continues apace, and EE's making the most of its exclusive rights to LTE technology while it lasts – it's announced that nine more towns are set to get 4G coverage. They are: Barnsley, Chorley, Coventry, Newport, Preston, Rotherham, Telford, Walsall, and Watford.
EA and Microsoft ink deal for next Xbox
With the dust settling on Sony's PlayStation 4 launch event, Microsoft is moving quickly to line up the dominoes for its next Xbox. According to CVG, Microsoft's signed an exclusivity partnership with EA ahead of the launch of the next Xbox (rumoured to be taking place in April). That won't include exclusive games, but will likely take the form of exclusive DLC and staggered release dates. Office Cat eagerly awaits Sony's inevitable tit-for-tat response.
