Google Street View scales Everest
Not content with taking its Street View cameras beneath the ocean waves and to the ends of the earth, Google has sent them to the top of the world – Mount Everest. As well as snapping Everest's base camp, Google has also scaled Kilimanjaro, Mt Aconcagua in Argentina and Mt Elbrus in Russia. Perfect for armchair explorers – though Office Cat is still waiting on turn-by-turn directions to the summits.

HTC One delays due to loss of 'tier-one' status
An HTC executive has addressed the issue of component shortages for the HTC One handset, claiming that the Taiwanese manufacturer has been demoted from 'tier-one' customer status by component suppliers. As a result, HTC's facing shortages of the parts used in the One's Ultrapixel camera and its gorgeous aluminium unibody case. HTC expects to start rolling out orders of the HTC One to US customers from mid-March – though the shortages don't seem to have affected UK availability, with Carphone Warehouse quoting an expected delivery date of 28th March.
