Starbucks to serve up free Wi-Fi for iPhone users

The coffee giant is jumping ship from T-Mobile Hotspots, and instead opting for BT Openzone to serve 678 of its UK branches. This means that owners of Apple's handset will be able to hop onto the net for free thanks to their O2 contract.

O2 mobile broadband customers will get the same treatment from the Summer as well.

The switch will start today, but roll out to all stores will happen gradually over the next few months, so T-Mobile account holders needn't panic just yet. Just so long as your local Starbucks isn't one of the first to move over, of course...
