Star Wars in 3D coming February 2012

20th Century Fox has revealed the date for the first instalment of the 3D-upgraded Star Wars series. 12 February 2012 will see the release of the The Phantom Menace converted into 3D, with the remaining five movies to be released one a year after that.

So it’ll be 2015 by the time you can see a decent Star Wars film (A New Hope) in 3D. But even though the “new” trilogy was a huge disappointment, we can’t deny we’re intrigued to see what the folks at Lucasfilm and ILM with the 3D format. We’re just fanboys at heart, we guess...
