Sony VAIO L and CW Series also announced

As well as the rather lovely looking VAIO X Series, Sony has also outed two more additions to the VAIO family – the L Series touchscreen all-in-

With a 24-inch, full HD touchscreen, the L Series is being touted by Sony as part HDTV and part PC for people who put entertainment at the top of their computer hitlist.

Within its slender body, the L Series packs a 500GB hard drive and 4GB of RAM, with the option for a Blu-ray drive for playing back movies in full HD.

As for the touchscreen, it works in very much the same as a touchscreen phone, enabling you to flick between photos and music tracks in the Media Gallery, while analogue video and HDMI inputs allow you to hook up your PS3 for gaming on the screen, with no need to boot the computer up.

As for the CW Series, it also comes with 500GB hard drive, 4GB RAM and optional Blu-ray player, but on a 14-inch, 16:9 screen.

There’s a multi-touch keypad, webcam and choice of red, blue, pink or white.

Both the L and CW Series will be available from the 22 October with pricing to be confirmed.

We’ll be getting our mitts on them as soon as possible for full reviews, but until then check out our top 10 laptops and top 10 desktops to see what’s flying high at the moment.
