Sony NW-Series laptop range incoming

Following on from the announcement of its first netbook range today, Sony has also got official with the easy breezy VAIO NW-Series. The 15.5-inch lap

The 15.5-inch laptop boasts a true 16:9 widescreen and aims to make your computing life easier with features like the ability to access the web without a full PC boot-up, and one cable HDMI connection to an HDTV.

Elsewhere though, the computer is capable of taking on some serious specs for your multimedia use, including 4GB RAM and a storage capacity up to 500GB, as well as options like a Blu-ray drive and HD graphics card.

As for connectivity, you'll get three USB ports, slots for SD card, Memory Stick and Express Card, an iLINK port, and of course Wi-fi and Bluetooth.

As for keeping it all eco-friendly, there is a one-touch "display off" button, so you can turn the screen off if you're just wanting to listen to music and the like.

The laptop will be up for grabs at the end of this month, with the highest spec'd machine set to be available for a rather respectable £849. Keep it locked for a full review shortly, and in the meantime check out what we thought to the rather pricey VAIO Z31VN/X.
