Sony Ericsson rolls out budget W205 Walkman

It was something of a let-down for those priming themselves for exciting Android news, but penny-pinchers will at least be pleased with the announceme

Billed as an affordable, ‘My First Walkman phone’, the W205 comes bearing an attractive polished black-and-silver design that reminds us of its classic T610, along with a decent if slightly limited menu of specs.

There’s an FM radio, TrackID and the latest Walkman software to cater for your music needs, along with Bluetooth and a (ahem) 1.3MP camera.

Sadly, the memory card slot takes Sony’s Memory Stick Micro M2 cards rather than microSD, and you’ll need one too as internal memory is a pathetic 5MB.

Still, the W205 will be available on bargainous pre-pay from autumn 2009, and would no doubt make a nice partner for Sony’s new budget Walkmans (well, at least according to your bank manager).
