We heard whispers last week that Sony's forthcoming PlayStation Motion Controller could be called the Arc. Now, news has come to light that the company has snapped up the domain name "PlayStationArc.com".
When searched for on betterwhois.com, Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. came up as the owners of the domain, while another website ps3arc.com was not.
It could be that Sony is merely buying up domains to prevent URL squatters doing so while it decides on a name – remember the story about Apple buying iSlate.com?
It certainly makes last week's rumour more believable though, but of course we'll have to wait to hear it from Sony itself before we can know for sure.
Last week Sony confirmed its Motion Controller would be delayed until the autumn, but were also keen to point out the motion controller was merely a "tentative name".
What would you call the Sony Motion Controller? Do you like Arc? Let us know below.
