A new wireless audio device from Sky will allow you to listen to the TV or radio even when you're nowhere near the lounge. Inexplicably, it's called the Gnome.
Forget weirdy beardy pond dwarves (it's hard, we know) - the new home gnome from Sky is a dinky pyramid that receives your satellite box's audio output. It'll work anywhere within a 30m range - and, thanks to rechargeable batteries, you can even take it outside. So finally we may be able to tear ourselves away from Big Brother Live and actually see some sunlight, safe in the knowlege we won't miss a thing.
Available in blue or orange, the gnome features an LCD screen that tells you what station you're listening to - including the full range of digital radio channels available through your Sky Box. With no subscription charge, this is the perfect way to receive digital radio - especially useful if you live outside a DAB broadcasting zone.
The Sky Gnome is due in October, with pricing to be announced.
