But Setanta's been given a second chance thanks to new owners and two shiny new satellite licenses from the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland.

But as we reported earlier today, Setanta's rights to broadcast Premier League football games in the UK have gone to ESPN. So what will the channel show now? Expect a selection of golf, darts and American sporting treats.

Confusingly, Setanta retained the rights to show Premier League action (as we are almost legally obliged to call it) in Ireland and have continued to do so.
