It's been a while since we heard from one of the big boys about plans to bring the MacBook Air to its knees. But Samsung says it s primed to do just that with its sharp new X360 notebook.
Microsoft-inspired name aside, the new machine rocks a 13in screen, as well as HDMI, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 7-in-1 card reader. In fact, Samsung says that unlike the claims of some other "light" notebooks, the X360 is fully featured without compromise. Take that, MacBook Air.
It weighs in at an insanely low 1.27kg when toting 64GB or 128GB SSD, and comes with a six-cell battery which Sammy says will give you a huge 10 hours of battery life. Most likely that involves you not actually doing anything with the PC while it runs itself down though.
Samsung says we'll be able to grab one next month, but they're keeping mum about price. Could that means a bank-balance destroying gadget of the highest order?
