Yesterday, Google dropped a few beans on Samsung’s first Chromebook, the Series 5. Now Samsung’s got out its can opener and dropped the whole tin. There’s a 12.1in Super Bright (300 nits) display, fired by an Intel N570 1.66GHz dual-core processor and pictures from its HD webcam. Connectivity comes in the shape of optional 3G, Wi-Fi and a 4-in-1 card reader, not bad considering the Series 5 is just 20mm thick. It’ll hit UK shelves a bit later than promised – June 24th – for £350 or £400 with 3G.
