Like it or not, 3D is the next big step in smartphones. Now it looks like the HTC EVO 3D isn't the only smartphone about to encroach on LG's 3D turf. According to a little rumour started on ETNews, Samsung has given its irresistible flagship Galaxy S2 a 3D makeover, thus creating the Galaxy 3D and a new third-dimensional rival.
If there's truth in the rumour, the Android 2.3 powered Galaxy 3D will tote a 4.3in screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB built-in memory and twin 8MP lenses. It's also been suggested the Galaxy 3D will arrive towards the end of the year, just in time to whack it in a gift-wrapped box and put it under the tree.
