Samsung phones to use 2GHz dual-core super chip

That’s right, 1GHz dual-core is just becoming the mainstay and Sammy is already planning to double the power

Just when you thought mobiles couldn’t get more powerful than Moore’s law would allow, Sammy announces a 2GHz dual-core due out in 2012.

The Samsung Galaxy S II will be released on May 1 but that hasn't stopped the company steaming ahead. Sammy plans to have a 2GHz dual-core smartphone on the market by next year. But with Nvidia aiming to release the Tegra 3 quad-core chip in devices as soon as December, will Samsung be producing too little too late?
