Samsung lining up its own app store

As Mobile World Congress chugs ever nearer, it seems we can't turn anywhere without finding even more phone–based news we just have to bring you

According to Unwired View, the new store, dubbed Samsung Mobile Applications, will be launching over in Barcelona later this month. The service will be aimed squarely at mobile lovers here in the UK, with 1,100 apps for Symbian and WinMo users.

There'll be the same mix of free and paid for apps you find on Apple's 500 million selling App Store and Google's very cool, but nascent Android Market. But with BlackBerry also in on the act, surely this is all turning into a 'me too' exercise?
