If your dinky digits can't wrap themselves around the Samsung Galaxy S4, there isn't a great deal of choice out there – even Apple has gone bigger with the iPhone 5. Fortunately Samsung has come to the rescue with the newly-announced Galaxy S4 Mini. It may not quite match the specs of its big brother – but it's not as embarrassingly underpowered as its Galaxy S3 Mini predecessor.
The Galaxy S4 Mini comes packing – deep breath – a 4.7in qHD super AMOLED display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP snapper, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 8GB storage with microSD space, 4G LTE, NFC, an IR remote for TV controls, high-speed 5GHz Wi-Fi, and a hefty 1900 mAh battery. It even comes with smart camera skills like Panorama Shot for wide photos and Sound&Shot for audio clips with snaps.
You don’t get any of the S4's smart features like gesture controls or eye-tracked scrolling – but who really uses them anyway? A release date has yet to be announced – but with the official reveal event on June 20th we’d expect the release to fall around then. Check back for our hands-on review of the Galaxy S4 Mini and Samsung's ATIV reveal on June 20th.
