Samsung Galaxy S II gets HD display

Two new versions of the top tier Android handset have gone on sale in Korea

The Galaxy S II LTE was shown at IFA earlier this month and just adds speedy 4G data and an extra millimetre to the waistline of the standard Galaxy S II. The Galaxy S II LTE HD, however, jacks up the screen resolution of its beautiful AMOLED screen to 1,280 x 720px, bona fide HD.

Only available in Korea for the moment, we're hoping to clap our eyes on a Galaxy S II with an HD display very soon. Come on Samsung – we've been really good this year.
