Design

The body is beautiful as well as shapely for snapping comfortably, even with the huge zoom lens fully extended. The 4.8in HD Super Clear LCD (308ppi) touchscreen takes up most of the back for a beautiful edge-to-edge control system and means of looking at your pictures.

Power

The 21x Optical Super Long Zoom lens, as its being called, offers great zoom for such a slim snapper as well as 4.1-86.1mm 1:2.8-5.9 23mm capabilities. And the 16MP BSI CMOS sensor means the photos are full of colours and crisp detail – as far as we can see from in here. There’s even voice control to zoom, control the timer, and take pics all from afar with your voice – and it seems to work pretty well even in this noisy environment. And it doesn’t stop at pics, with full HD video at 120fps for super slow motion playback.

Editing

As the Galaxy Camera uses Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS you have plenty of options for editing. Smart Pro Mode: select type you want, snap, and edit . There’s also a Smart Content Manager built in to help you search easily, view in different ways, even by location for a quick feature before you open it. Folder creation and editing is fully customisible thanks to the 4.8in touchscreen. And it all works buttery smooth with the 1.4GHz quad-core processor.

Connectivity

The Sharing Widget will let you access all your social networks and email to chuck your snaps wherever you want. And if you’re worried about storage fret not as it’ll auto backup into the cloud as you shoot them – so people at home on your Samsung TV can view them right away. Share Shot lets you take one shot and send it in realtime to other devices using Wi-Fi direct – no more multi-snapping groups then. Remote Viewfinder lets you connect the camera to your smartphone so you can view what it sees from your mobile as well as taking it from there too.
