The multimedia powerhouse will keep movie lovers content with a 17.3-inch HD screen and 16:9 aspect ratio for films without the black bands, while gamers will enjoy the 3D graphics processing power provided by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 graphics card, and the dedicated GDDR3 memory (512MB or 1GB) for better image quality.

Hard drive capacity and amount of RAM is currently unclear, but you will get a full keyboard with a separate numeric keypad, 4 W stereo speakers and dedicated subwoofer, 4 USB ports (including one that supports eSATA connections) and a chargeable USB port which will allow you to charge up your gadgets using your laptop, even when it's off.

Finally, Blu-ray fans will be able to add a Blu-ray drive to the laptop for a bit more cash, although pricing for the R720 is still unknown.
