Rumours of the iPad 3 have already suggested that it will be a major upgrade over its predecessor and the latest morsel of information suggests that one such upgrade will be its screen. A bit of nerdy SDK snooping in the Twitter framework has unveiled images with a 1536 x 2048 resolution, which trounces the current generation’s pixel prowess by a substantial margin. It’s far too early to peg this as anything more than eager interweb speculation, but the mere thought of an Apple slate with twice the resolution is enough to make our geek senses go all tingly.
