Apple’s WWDC event kicks off later today, but that doesn’t mean that the relentless rumours have any intention of ceasing. The latest detective work from MacRumors suggests iOS 5 will update itself over the air, thanks to a premature bit of wording in the App updates screen (which has now been pulled). If true, it would be a most welcome change from the current set-up which requires a tedious tethered sync to iTunes on a computer. It’s also not too far fetched to dream of a world in which wireless library syncing via Wi-Fi is an option. OTA iOS updates are scoring high on our believability chart at the moment, but we'll know for sure later today. Watch this space.
